Talbot House’s “T.H.E. Solution” program recently celebrated an incredible milestone; they have now helped 400 clients secure part-time or full-time employment! Their 400th client, Trevor, recently started working as an Unloader in the Recycling Department of Rooms To Go. Trevor says he’s so glad to be working again because it means he is no longer defined by his past and can build a new future for himself.
T.H.E. Solution is a comprehensive job training and employment program designed to assist people in overcoming barriers to achieving stable employment. We are approved by the State of Florida as an OJT (on-the-job training) Facility and a contractor of employment services for Florida’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. T.H.E. Solutions’ holistic approach to employment includes one-on-one coaching, hands-on curriculum in computer and financial skills, job training and certification opportunities, and peer support groups. These resources help our clients overcome their unique obstacles to gaining and keeping a job. As they gain critical job experience, our clients are empowered to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness, develop a savings account, and become productive members of the community.
