April is Volunteer Appreciation Month and we are so grateful for every person who serves at Talbot House Ministries! We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the dedicated service of our volunteers.

In the past year, more than 100 volunteers have completed over 2,500 hours. We average 30 volunteers and 200 hours a month.

This month we celebrated volunteers with a night of food, awards, and fun to thank them for their heart for our community. Here are some of our many wonderful volunteers:

Cypress Lakes Veterans – The Cypress Lakes Veterans is a group that comes in multiple times a month to serve dinner and are a frequent donor. In December their Auxiliary donated 37 turkeys for the holidays and just last week they donated 14 Easter hams. We are so grateful for the multiple ways they bless those we serve.

Daniel Smith – Daniel serves once a week as a Bible study facilitator. He shows eagerness and initiative, and residents have loved learning from him. Thank you, Daniel, for your kindness and passion for cultivating spiritual growth for those we serve.

Little Bus Books – Little Bus Books and the Pippen family volunteer by bringing in their mobile library for residents and guests to browse and select books for free. We are so grateful for their investment in our community and the passion for reading that they have sparked across campus.

Thank you, volunteers! Our staff and those we serve are so grateful for you.
