Talbot House is blessed by the support of the community. Over Thanksgiving week, several volunteers and volunteer groups spent time serving residents and guests. Some of the volunteer groups who served were Campbells, We Are Our Community Outreach and G.R.A.C.E.D. Outreach, and Soni Practice. 340 meals were served on Thanksgiving. Talbot House case manager, Angelina, had the pleasure of returning to serve residents and guests another year with her family.
By choosing to serve on Thanksgiving Day, volunteers created special memories with our residents. The holiday season can trigger challenging emotions and some residents were unable to spend time with family. Talbot House volunteers made our house feel like home, and our residences and guests feel like family.
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank each and every volunteer who spent time with our residents this Thanksgiving. As we say here at Talbot House, when we count our blessings, we count you twice.
