The life-changing work taking place at Talbot House Ministries is only possible thanks to generous gifts from people like you. This spring, our Board of Directors is issuing a challenge – to raise $150,000 to support essential programs and services benefitting people like Audrey.
“My money ran out, and I was walking aimlessly through the streets,” she recalls. Audrey came to Talbot House about six months ago after losing her home. She was alone and struggling to overcome addiction. With guidance, she arrived at Talbot House Ministries seeking shelter and food.
Audrey learned about the programs offered at Talbot House and decided to join. Within months, she had earned a Class D security license, found a job as a security officer, and is now saving money for a place of her own. She is also approaching her one-year sobriety milestone. Audrey’s successes represent how quickly a person can move toward self-sufficiency when given the tools they need.
“I have to give thanks to Talbot House for being there to support me, giving me a place to live…and helping me do something with my life.”
To continue serving Audrey and others like her, an anonymous member of the Talbot House board has committed to match all gifts made between now and April 30 dollar-for-dollar, up to $75,000. Will you rise to the challenge and join us?
