After losing her job unexpectedly, Shynice soon found herself without a safe place to stay and came to Talbot House for support. After three months, she’s already making great progress toward earning her GED and gaining the discipline and self-control she will need to achieve her dreams.
“The program works if you work it,” Shynice says. “If you come in ready to be trained and equipped, the program will work for you.” Once she completes the Renewal program at Talbot House, Shynice hopes to start her own digital design and photography business and give back to her community. Her faith in God has strengthened her on her journey. When things get tough, she relies on her favorite Bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11.
