Talbot House Ministries couldn’t cook and serve 300 meals a day without incredible partners like Publix Super Markets and Publix Super Markets Charities.
Publix Super Market at Grove Park Shopping Center in Lakeland, FL dropped by this month to present us with Publix Charities’ generous gift of $35,000 to support our feeding programs. We are so grateful for the longstanding support of Publix Charities, which is helping us reduce food insecurity in Lakeland.
You may not know it, but the majority of the food donations Talbot House receives and redistributes also comes from local Publix Super Markets!
Not only does Publix help us directly, but they help their shoppers help us as well. Publix GreenWise Market shoppers can support Talbot House by enrolling in their rewards program. For every purchase you make at GreenWise Market, a donation is made to your nonprofit of choice. Sign up here.
Jeff Brumbaugh, Publix Manager, shared about his personal experience battling drug addiction in Chicago and facing penitentiary at a young age.
“By the grace of God and ministries like yours I went to college and now I’m a manager at Publix. You don’t always get to see the fruition of your help for people, but rest assured that there are people all over the nation who have been tremendously blessed by it. I’m living proof that someone invested in me 25 years ago.”
We are so grateful for Jeff and for all of Publix Super Markets Charities for their continued support throughout the years.
