As a young woman in an unstable living situation, Adrienne suffered domestic violence and struggled with learning disabilities that made it difficult for her to live independently. At Talbot House Ministries, she found a community that empowered her to forge a new path toward success, safety, and independence. This Christmas, we ask you to give generously to support people like Adrienne as they move from homelessness to independence.

Through the generosity of families, churches, and local businesses, Talbot House was able to connect Adrienne with medical professionals and secure benefits for which she was eligible. But her case manager also challenged Adrienne to achieve her full potential. A diligent worker, Adrienne was an ideal candidate for Job Corps. This residential job training program will help her develop marketable skills to enter the workforce and meet her goals for the future.

ā€œI’m a hard worker, I can do it.ā€ Adrienne assured us as she excitedly talked about studying nursing or hospitality. She has new confidence and is making big plans for the future that include building a career, buying a house, and traveling.

Adrienne has plenty of reasons to smile this Christmas. You could give others like her a reason to smile, too.
