At the end of 2021, Jim Lobinsky concluded his term as President of the Talbot House Ministries Executive Board, a position he held since 2019. However, his history of service stretches back nearly 20 years and has made a world of difference during that time.
Talbot House Ministries has benefitted greatly from Jim’s ability to lead by example and under God’s guidance. His character, perspective, and leadership have been invaluable during the uncertainty of a pandemic and the expansion of our ministry.
Dr. Brenda Reddout, Executive Director, shares, “Jim put his whole self into Talbot House—not just his talent and treasure. He talks to the people we serve and knows them by name. Knowing their stories added a dynamic difference to his leadership. I am grateful for his friendship and his leadership.”
As we thank Jim Lobinsky for his dedicated service to Talbot House Ministries, we also introduce J.D. Shahin as our new Board President.
J.D. is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a chief financial officer who has served on the Talbot House Executive Board for three years. His professional experience includes corporate planning, operations research, financial analysis, organizational development, and strategic management.
Dr. Brenda Reddout, Executive Director, shares, “It’s always good to have multiple perspectives in leadership. J.D. is currently in a lead position within his own organization and in graduate school, so I am sure he will bring valuable ideas to the table.”
As he steps in to his role as President, J.D. shares, “We’re a ministry first and a homeless shelter second. We’re going to continue doing God’s work and working with our community.”
We are excited about the future of Talbot House and all that God has in store for our ministry.
